How the data works

What we record, and what every value means.

Sell Ripple keeps a dated daily record of Wayfair US: your listings in Monitor, and your category’s top 300 in Research. Here is every value, defined, plus the limits worth knowing before you subscribe.

  • Once a day, dated
  • Every real variant
  • Gaps never filled in

Four rules behind every record

Once a day, dated

One snapshot a day, in the US evening. Every value carries its date.

Every real variant

Every color and size the listing actually sells, up to 500 per product.

Gaps stay gaps

A missed day is shown as a gap, never estimated.

No login needed

You add product links. We never ask for your Partner Home login.

What a daily record looks like

Monitor

One snapshot per variant, every day

Each daily snapshot records the listed retail price and availability of every color and size you track. A day that wasn’t recorded stays empty and is drawn as a dashed gap.

  • Filed under the date it was recorded
  • Recorded for one US ZIP code
  • Missed days drawn as gaps, never filled in
  • History starts the day you add a product

Research

Your category’s top 300, every day

Research records the top 300 products of one Wayfair US category once a day, each with its rank position. Sponsored placements are flagged.

  • Rank position, dated daily

Applies to both tools unless a section says otherwise

Monitor records your own listings. Research records the top 300 products of your category. Sections marked Monitor or Research apply to that tool only.

What we record

Sell Ripple keeps a dated daily record of Wayfair US. Monitor records the listings you add: every color and size, its retail price and availability, and each product’s reviews. Research records the top 300 products of one Wayfair US category.

We never ask for your Wayfair Partner Home login. Values are recorded once a day for one US ZIP code, and may differ from what an individual shopper sees.

Sell Ripple is an independent service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Wayfair.

When it is recorded

The daily record
FrequencyOnce a day, in the US evening (morning in Beijing)
DateEvery value is filed under the date it was recorded
LocationOne US ZIP code
  • Monitor: new alerts appear in your dashboard when that day’s record is complete.
  • Research: within 3 business days of your first Research payment, we confirm the category with your team and start daily recording. If we don’t, you can cancel for a full refund. The data appears in the Research area of your dashboard.

Variants

  • A variant is one color × size combination that a listing actually sells. Only real combinations are recorded; none are assumed.
  • Monitor finds every variant on a product’s first capture, up to 500 variants per product.

Prices

  • The price recorded is the listed retail price for each color and size, for one US ZIP code.
  • In Monitor, the whole-product price for a day is the lowest variant price that day, which can include the listed price of a variant that isn’t currently selling.
  • Cart and checkout discounts aren’t part of the listed price and aren’t recorded. The price can change after that day’s record, and shoppers elsewhere may see a different price.

Availability

Each variant’s availability status, such as in stock or out of stock. It is a status, not a stock count: Sell Ripple doesn’t show inventory quantities.

Reviews

Monitor

  • Every day: each product’s total review count and average rating.
  • The first 20 reviews shown on the listing, each with its star rating, text and date.

Research

  • Every day, per product: the total review count, average rating and 1–5★ breakdown. Reviews are counted per product, not per color or size.
  • Research doesn’t store review text.

Neither Monitor nor Research stores reviewer names, avatars, locations or profile links.

Category Top 300 (Research)

  • Research covers the top 300 products of one Wayfair US category, each with its rank position for the day. These are not keyword rankings.
  • Sponsored placements in the top 300 are flagged.
  • Your team sees the data in the Research area of the Sell Ripple dashboard. There is no data export.

What Research records for each product

  • Storefront brand, listed price, rating and review count.
  • Price and availability for every real color × size, every day.
  • Review count and 1–5★ breakdown, every day.
  • Specs.

Alerts (Monitor)

After each daily snapshot, every variant is compared with its last recorded snapshot, normally the day before. Every team starts with these default rules, which apply to every product in the team; your team’s admins can adjust the price and review thresholds, and stock alerts are always on.

Monitor alert rules
EventRuleLevel
StockoutA color or size goes out of stockUrgent
Back in stockIt’s available againInfo
Price move±8% or more from the last recorded priceImportant · urgent at ±15%
Low-star reviewA new review of 3★ or lower, with the textImportant · urgent at 2★ or lower
  • Review alerts cover the first 20 reviews shown on the listing. A low-star review outside those 20 is counted in the daily total but raises no alert.
  • Stockout and price alerts name the exact color and size, and review alerts quote the review. Every alert shows Wayfair’s SKU, with your own beside it if you added one; mark it handled once your team has dealt with it.

Alerts appear in your dashboard only

Nothing is sent by email, SMS, messaging app or push notification. Research sends no alerts: it is daily data and history.

Gaps and coverage

  • A missed day stays a gap. Charts draw it as a dashed segment, and values are never estimated.
  • A missing price is never recorded as zero.
  • Each day’s record is marked complete or partial.
  • Monitor’s Coverage Calendar shows products and variants recorded against expected, a 14-day calendar of complete and partial days, each product’s last recorded day, and how many days in a row each product has been missed.

History

History starts the day you add a product (Monitor) or the day a product is first recorded (Research). Nobody can record the days before, so there is no backfill.

What isn’t included

  • Real-time data
  • Email, SMS, messaging-app or push notifications
  • Per-product alert thresholds (one set of rules per team)
  • Data export
  • Sales, unit, revenue or inventory figures
  • Keyword rankings
  • Category rankings inside Monitor (that’s Research)
  • Review figures by color or size
  • Identifying the manufacturer behind a storefront brand
  • History from before you add a product
  • Sites other than Wayfair US

Accuracy

Data is provided as-is for business research. Some products or days may be missed; we show those as gaps rather than estimating them. Sell Ripple doesn’t provide sales figures, inventory counts or pricing advice, and you are responsible for the decisions you make with the data.
